Royal Wedding Weekend Away

As the Royal Wedding of William and Kate is getting closer, I thought it would be nice to talk about the best place to be this weekend… London. The temporary viewing stands are being put up, the british flags are being bought by every tourist and the Queen is deciding what to wear. It can only be one weekend, the Royal Wedding weekend. Everyone is britain has been looking forward to it, not just because we are all royalists but because they have given us a day off. Which means we have yet another long weekend following on from Easter.

While youre down in London trying to get a glimpse of the happy couple on their special day, here are a few things that might be worth a visit on such a royal weekend.

1. 10 Downing Street. Why not start the day by checking if the Prime Minister is in. Unfortunately 10 Downing street isnt accessible to the general public, you have to see the famous number 10 door through a black iron gate. But if youve made the journey all the way to London for the wedding it might be worth checking out the latest PM.

2. Big Ben. No trip to London is complete without hearing the chimes of Big Ben as the hour strikes.

3. St Pauls Cathedral. A beautiful cathedral located just across the river. The visit to such a religious place might get in you in the mood for a wedding.

4. Hyde Park. Once the wedding is over, why not enjoy a garden party in Hyde Park.

5. Buckingham Palace. To finish the day off, a trip to Buckingham Palace isnt a bad shout. Who knows, you may spot the Queen returning home from her big outing.

So thats it. Enjoy your weekend wherever you are and whatever you get up to. And to William and Kate, all the best.
